The First Presbyterian Church of Mendota, IL is a Matthew 25 Church in Blackhawk Presbytery who cares for its members, is very active in mission work, and is strongly grounded in the Bible. We are known as a praying church and take our responsibility to pray for each other, our community, and our country very seriously. We have a strong foundation and plan to build on that as we move forward as active disciples making a difference in our community and the world.

We offer a traditional worship service and Sunday school that meets after the Children’s sermon during the worship service.  Our church places great emphasis on Biblical education for all of our members. During the service expect to hear a Bible-based sermon that applies to everyday life. Sermons are scripture based with stories and examples that inspire us to lead a better life.  We follow the service with a time for fellowship; unless it’s the Second Sunday, then we have breakfast at 9:00.  JOIN US!

We have a micro pantry on our front porch that is stocked daily and available 24 hours a day to anyone who is experiencing hunger. If you are in need, it is there for you. If you are a little extra blessed, you can help by leaving non-perishable items.
